The Scientists: From the PBS Vault

PBS is very excited to present an exclusive live set from the PBS Vault – The Scientists, recorded at the Prince of Wales in March 1983. Listen back to Mixing Up the Medicine from Tuesday 6th September 2016 to hear this exclusive live recording from PBS’ extensive tape archive and an interview with The Scientists’ Kim Salmon.

Emerging from West Australian swamp in 1978, The Scientists turned punk on its head with their melodic take on the genre and refusal to adhere to punk’s dress code. By the time they arrived on the East Coast they’d undergone countless line-up changes and found a sludgier, more visceral sound – captured in all its ferocity live at PBS’ first home.
