Opening Theme: Eilen Jewell | Radio City | Queen Of The Minor Key

1. Della Reese | Compared To What | Black Is Beautiful
- Della is probably best known these days as an actress in the 90s show Touched By An Angel but she was a great jazz, funk and pop singer from the 40s onwards and her take on this classic in 1970 is a ripper. She passed away on Nov 19th, aged 86.
2. Cookin' On 3 Burners | Lone Wolfe | Lab Experiments Vol. 1: Mixin'
- This was a great local soul album released last year. They've got gigs coming up at The Church of Bang Bang Boogaloo, just off Londsdale St, on Jan 20th and at the Cranbourne Turf Club on Jan 26th.
3. Baby Charles | Invisible | Baby Charles
- Originally released on their first album in 2008, this track has just been released on the Milan label, Record Kicks' latest compilation, Record Kicks FunkSides, released in December.
4. Lee Fields & The Expressions | Moonlight Mile | Faithful Man
- This is a great Rolling Stones cover taken off their 2012 album. They are playing at Golden Plains on Labour Day weekend and are doing a sideshow at The Corner Hotel on March 6th.

5. Jeb Cardwell | Dreaming Of You | Single
- Although he's been in bands such as the Backwood Creatures for a long time, this is Jeb's debut single, released in November on the Blind Date Records label.
6. J.J. Cale | I'll Make Love To You Anytime | 5
- Jeb's song has a real J.J. Cale feel to hit so I thought I'd play a tune by the man himself, from his great 1979 album.
7. The Bonnevilles | My Dark Heart | Arrow Pierce My Heart
- Taken from this Northern Ireland band's 2016 album but only came to my notice recently. Great rockin' blues stuff.
8. McPhee | Indian Rope Man | McPhee
- I played Julie Driscoll, Brian Auger & The Trinity's version of this Richie Havens a tune a few months ago but this version by an Aussie band from 1971 is fantastic too. It can be found on the compilation 'Back On The Street Again' which came out on Festival a couple of years ago.

9. Harry Nilsson | Jump Into The Fire | Nilsson Schmilsson
- I do love Harry and this is one of my favourite songs of all time! I thought I'd play a set of rock songs led by a strong bass guitar and this one is hard to go pass featuring the great bass of Herbie Flowers.
10. Talking Heads | Crosseyed And Painless | Remain In Light
- This continues the great bass-lead songs featuring the amazing Tina Weymouth. This is from one of their best albums although I reckon they're all pretty great.
11. Air | Dead Bodies [Live] | The Virgin Suicides - 15th Anniversary Edition
- This is a great rockin' bass tune too but I also wanted to play it cause I've been getting into this album and film again lately with both being wonderful.
12. Jackie Got Lemons | Life Plan | None Of Your Business
- JGL are a great new local band who consist of vocals, bass and drums and are really led by the sound of the bass guitar. Their album launch is tonight at The Toff In Town with Shukura Chapman and Dream Coat.

13. The Hello Morning | Creases | Single
- This is their latest single, taken from their forthcoming new album. They are playing as part of Nocturnal, happening at the Melbourne Museum tomorrow night along with Billy Davis & The Good Lords, Lossless and DJ's Toni Yotzi and Woody McDonald.
14. XTC | Ball And Chain | English Settlement
- I've really been getting into XTC over the last year or so. Especially their late 70s/early 80s period and this song is no exception!
15. Kit Warhurst | Eighteen Year Old Drunken Survivor | Colour Wheel
- This is the most recent single released from Kit's excellent debut album, released last April.
16. Angel Olsen | Sweet Dreams | Phases
- Angel released this collection of out-takes and B-sides in November. She is playing 4 solo shows at The Tote from March 26th-29th as well as the Boogie Festival on Easter weekend.

17. Jackson C. Frank | Blues Run The Game | Jackson C. Frank
- This is probably Jackson's best-known song, taken from his only album which was produced by Paul Simon in 1965.
18. Leah Senior | Your Summer Rain | Pretty Faces
- Leah was recently announced within the last announcement of acts to play at Golden Plains which is happening over Labour Day weekend in March.
19. This Is The Kit | All Written Out In Numbers | Moonshine Freeze
- This album was another fave from 2017 which didn't quite fit in my Best Of 2017 show but it is great!
20. James Elkington | Greatness Yet To Come | Wintres Woma
- This was another great debut album from 2017 from this UK singer/songwriter.

21. Raised By Eagles | Every Night | I Must Be Somewhere
- Raised By Eagles will be playing at The Gasometer Hotel on Wed, Jan 10th w/Househats & Shit Bitch.
22. Charles Jenkins & The Zhivagos | Kathleen | The Last Polaroid
- Charles is playing at the Retreat Hotel on every Monday in January.
23. Ann-Margaret | It's A Nice World To Visit (But Not To Live In) | Lee Hazlewood Industries: There's A Dream I've Been Saving 1966-1971
- A great song, produced and written by Lee Hazlewood in 1968.

Closing Theme: Ashley Davies | To Carpentaria - Into The Unknown | The Expedition Burke & Wills
