Sunglasses After Dark

Phil MacDougall
Presented by Phil MacDougall
next on air Thursday, 24 May 2018 - 8:00pm to 10:00pm

I play hardcore punk, industrial and garage punk, as well as Australian independents. I also play a lot of Melbourne bands, demos and do interviews. Most of the program is focused on alternative music from 1976 to the music of now!

Sunglasses After Dark reflects my political and social beliefs in society. The bands I play, and what they have to say lyrically, is what I believe in. After presenting a weekly radio show for thirty years, you become passionate towards certain styles of music and bands.

I've been doing my show since September 1980, to play new bands on the radio and expose listeners to new music within my genre. Its great to be a part of a commmunity radio station that plays under-represented music and is not governed by corporate interests.
