Sex trafficking is the buying and selling of women and children into forced commercial prostitution. Victims of trafficking are subject to rape, forced abortions, torture, starvation and threats to family members. It is estimated that 2-4 million people will be sold into prostitution in the next 12 months, of this number 80% are women and 50% are children under the age of 18. The industry generates profits of more than US$9.5 billion a year.

PROJECT CABARET features a who’s who of Melbourne performing artists including Sammy J, Mikelangelo, Geraldine Hickey, Clairy Browne and more. Taking place on Thursday, July 14 at 7pm at the Espy’s Gershwin Room, PROJECT CABARET aims to raise $4000 in one night for PROJECT FUTURES. Tickets are just $25 (+booking fee) or $30 on the night and can be purchased pre sale at www.oztix.com.au or www.espy.com.au
