Mobile Industries and Troy Horse are proud to announce the double bill tour of two of the USA's songwriting legends Kinky Friedman and Van Dyke Parks who will be performing together on stage for the first time in Australia.

Parks' career started in the 60's, famously collaborating with Brian Wilson on the classic "lost" Beach Boys album Smile.Friedman released his first album in 1973. Sold American, with his band the Texas Jewboys, contained what has become his signature song They Ain't Makin' Jews Like Jesus Anymore and the rest of that decade saw him tour with Bob Dylan's Rolling Thunder Revue and play residencies in NYC where regular guests included John Belushi and Robin Williams amongst others

Listen back to Acid Country with David Heard for a live set from Kinky Friedman & Van Dyke Parks.
