Monday 5 December 2016

Tune in to The Breakfast Spread with Cat and Nick on Monday December 5 to hear an exclusive recording of The Triffids live From the Vault.

PBS proudly presents this restored archival recording of the iconic band ahead of their appearance at Meredith and two shows at the Corner celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of their masterpiece Born Sandy Devotional.

In memory and celebration of founding member David McComb, the band will be joined onstage for these shows by a host of friends to perform what’s become one of the most widely loved and quintessentially Australian pieces of music to come out of the great Australian indie and alternative pop wave of the 1980s.

Listen back to hear highlights from this 1984 recording from PBS’ first home, the Prince of Wales, and an interview with The Triffids’ Graham Lee and Rob McComb.

From The Vault featuring The Triffids on The Breakfast SpreadMonday December 5, only on PBS.
