Artists over here in the inner west (Newport, Spotswood, Williamtown etc)
get the opportunity to exhibit their art in local businesses such as cafes, pubs, shops etc.

The 2014 program runs during the month of April. There will be 60 exhibitions and events at more than 60 venues throughout the city.

What’s in store? In addition to the artist in business exhibitions, there will also be 28 independent arts events happening throughout this month-long celebration of all things creative.

Make sure you experience at least one of the amazing temporary public art installations presented as part of Art in Public Places. There will be the Projector Bike in Altona and Williamstown, which takes people on an evening outdoor film trail with a custom –designed, three wheeled cargo bike complete with a high-powered projector and sound stereo that proved to be a huge success in last years program, The Little Library in Spotswood and South Kingsville, Talking Difference portable studio presented by Hobsons Bay City Council and The Immigration Museum, a ‘confession wall’ in Altona, a new temporary street art mural in Aviation Road Laverton as well as other sites, just to name a few. Other locations this year include The Homestead at Truganina Explosives Reserve, Louis Joel Arts and Community Centre, The Substation in Newport, Amaroo, Woods Street Arts Space in Laverton.
